Ksamil is a village and a former municipality in the riviera of Southern Albania, and part of Butrint National Park. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality of Sarandë. The population as of the 2023 census is 2,731, while according to the Civil Offices it was 9,137 in 2018. The municipal unit consists of the villages Ksamil and Manastir. The coastal village of Ksamil was built during the communist era, in 1966, and is located south of Sarandë off the road to Butrint.
The village is known for its crystal clear waters, which are ideal for swimming, snorkelling and other water sports. If you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday, Ksamil is the perfect destination as it offers a peaceful atmosphere away from the crowds.
One of the main attractions of Ksamil is the Butrint National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is home to ancient ruins and monuments that date back to the Hellenistic and Roman periods. You can explore the park on foot or take a boat tour to see the ancient ruins from the sea.
